Samsung is one of the Most popular (South Korean) Smartphone manufacturers in the world. Also Samsung is one of the fastest update providers in the world. After providing the April 2022's security patch update Samsung has now started to roll out the latest May 2022's Security Patch Update for two of its smartphones which are Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 smartphones. The smartphones have started getting the update currently in US but will be soon rolling out for other regions also. We are here to discuss about the May 2022 Security Update.
Samsung has launched the update for both the smartphones belongs to Fold and Flip Series which are Galaxy Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3 in US. So if you are using any of the above mentioned smartphone and living in US or Nearby region then you can start checking for the update in your smartphones respectively. You can check for the update just by Navigating to Settings >> Software Update >> (if available) Download & Install in both the Fold and Flip Series Smartphone respectively. and if you have already got the update then you can mention in in the comment section below.
Now let's talk about some more details about the update. The update consists of the firmware version for Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be F926U1UES!CVD4 whose model number is SM-F926U1 and for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 F711U1TBS2CVD4 whose model number is SM-F711U1. Samsung has rolled out the update for all the carrier unlocked variants of both the above mentioned Samsung Devices. So if you are a US Resident then you can start checking for the update in your respective smartphones. Samsung will be soon rolling out the update for all the regions in the world within few weeks.
The update consists of a lot of bug fixes for both the devices which were earlier presented in both the smartphones. Secondly the update consists of some of the security vulnerabilities fixed which were more than 10 for making both the Samsung devices more secure. Lastly the May 2022's Security Patch Update consists of the Stability improvisations for both the devices for making the device usability experience much better for some of its users.
Coming on to the requirements of the update, the update requires some of the free space in your device's internal memory and the battery level should be more than 60% so make sure to charge your smartphone before going to update it or you can also Plug in the charger when going to update your smartphone. Samsung has launched both the above mentioned smartphones in the year 2021 with Android 11 and currently it is operating on Android 12 based OneUI 4.1 update. Samsung will be soon rolling out the update for all the other remaining regions for the above mentioned two devices.
